Insults, Feeding Baby, The Patch and the good old days

“A graceful taunt is worth a thousand insults.” — Louis Nizer (1902 -1994)

Years ago my son and I were at a park when a well endowed young woman sitting on a bench across from us unbuttoned her blouse and began to breast feed her baby.
My son asked me what she was doing and, not wishing to make a big deal out of it, explained that she was feeding her baby.
“You’re kidding!” he exclaimed! “There’s no way he can eat all that!”

I was at the drugstore the other day when the woman in front of me was explaining to the pharmacist how she had forgotten to get her estrogen patch refilled, and all the symptoms of menopause (hot flashes, irritability, etc.) had returned with a vengeance.
After listening to her patiently, the pharmacist quitely asked, “And how many people asked you to get this refilled?

My grandpa was reminiscing about the good old days, especially how you could live on so much less money then.
“When I was a kid you could go to the local store and get a gallon of milk, some sausage, a dozen eggs, a loaf of bread and a magazine for only a dollar, and usually get change back.”
Sighing, he continued. “You just can’t do that any more. They have those stupid video cameras everywhere you look…”
